This morning I had the greatest time getting to know the seventh and eighth graders of the Aggie Leadership Academy. We started the session with a quick icebreaker to learn more about each other– before we moved over to the fine arts center for our lesson on light painting. Each student picked a partner and used their cellphone flashlights to “paint” their model’s image with light. I hope this sparks some interest in the kids to go home and look up some more examples of light painting. The latest trend involves using lights attached to the underside of droids and flying them over landscapes with incredible results.
